Before & After School Care
Structured, fun, and enriching programs that complement your child's school day.
Care That Fits Around School
FDPS OOSH runs before and after school care every weekday during term, right on the grounds of Five Dock Public School. Our programs are designed to give children the balance they need — time to play, time to rest, and time to explore new interests in a safe, supervised setting.
All programs are guided by the My Time, Our Place framework and delivered by qualified, first-aid-trained educators who know your child by name.

+ How do I enrol my child?
Contact us to check availability, complete an enrolment form, set up your direct debit payment through Debitsuccess, and confirm your CCS details with Centrelink. We'll then arrange a brief orientation before your child's first day. You can start the process by getting in touch via our contact page.
+ Is FDPS OOSH CCS approved?
Yes. FDPS OOSH is an approved Child Care Subsidy provider. Most families are eligible for CCS, which can cover up to 90% of your fees depending on family income and activity level. Apply through your myGov account linked to Centrelink.
+ What qualifications do your educators have?

+ What meals and snacks are provided?
We provide a nutritious breakfast during before school care and afternoon tea during after school care, included in the daily fee. During vacation care, children need to bring a packed lunch — we provide morning and afternoon snacks. We cater for allergies and dietary requirements as advised on the enrolment form.
+ Can my child attend on casual days?
Yes, casual bookings are available subject to availability. A small casual surcharge applies on top of the standard daily fee. Contact us to check if a casual spot is available on the day you need.
+ What should my child bring?
For before and after school care: their school bag, hat, and water bottle. For vacation care: packed lunch, hat, sunscreen (applied before arrival), water bottle, comfortable clothes with closed-toe shoes, and a change of clothes for messy activities.
+ What happens if I'm late for pickup?
Our after school care and vacation care close at 6:00pm. A late fee of $20.00 applies for the first 15 minutes after 6:00pm, then $2.00 per minute thereafter. If you're running late, please call us as soon as possible so we can reassure your child and make arrangements.
+ How do you handle allergies and dietary requirements?
Please advise any allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements on your child's enrolment form. Our educators are trained in allergy awareness and anaphylaxis response, and we maintain an allergy-aware environment. Individual management plans are put in place for children with specific needs.
+ Is vacation care open to children from other schools?

Two weeks' written notice is required to cancel care. Fees apply for booked sessions not attended without notice. For vacation care, excursion and incursion day bookings cannot be cancelled after the published cut-off date. Non-excursion days require two weeks' written notice. Full details are in the Parent Handbook, available on our Policies & Procedures page.
+ Do you operate on pupil-free days?
Yes. FDPS OOSH operates on school development (pupil-free) days, running from 7:00am to 6:00pm. These are treated as vacation care days. We'll notify enrolled families in advance when a pupil-free day is confirmed by the school.
